Some industry insiders are wondering why The Dark Knight didn't come out with a video game as well?

The movie alone has brought in over $400 million. And estimates are that video sales could have brought in an extra $100 million.

According to reports, gaming corp Electronic Arts has the rights to make a Dark Knight game, so why was nothing made?

It seems the game is in production, but the timing is way off.

Gary Oldman, who played officer James Gordon in the movie, says he's only seen a "tiny little piece" of "The Dark Knight" game.

He described a sequenced that showed Batman going from rooftop to rooftop, and said the game is supposed to fell as if it "doesn't stop and start."

Video game industry analyst Michael Pachter says, "I think publishers have concluded the only games that work are the surefire $500 million box office kind of games like Spider-Man and Shrek. The 'Transformers' game really surprised people how well it did, but the movie was big. I don't think they expected 'The Dark Knight' movie to be this big."

Yea, we're not sure it would have been this big if it wasn't for all the media attention and news surrounding the movie due to Heath Ledger's death.

Though EA was probably worried that they'd have another repeat of the previous Batman movie and game releases.

Back in 2005, EA released Batman Begins to go along with director Chris Nolan's movie.

The game even featured the voices of the main characters like Christian Bale, Katie Holmes and Morgan Freeman. However, the game only sold about 587,000 copies. Definitely not a good amount.

Though some Batman characters will be released into a few upcoming games, such as Bathman, The Joker, and Two-Face in Warner's "Lego Batman: The Video Game" in September.

A few other characters will also appear in Midway's "Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe."

Let's hope EA gets on it before it's too late.

I have to say a couple of things that I feel are important to say right now.

A few months ago, I did a quick interview with Entertainment Tonight and I Stuck my foot in my mouth and said that I was having twins by accident.

I BEGGED them to edit that out and not say anything yet as I wasn't ready for it to be out there then, but that when I was , I would give it to them exclusively.

They really could have ran with it but they said they would not.

They actually kept their word which I found so refreshing, I couldn't believe it.

I really want to thank them for that. They are one of the last remaining Entertainment news shows that has kept its dignity and high standards in the current morally degraded climate we are now in.

In the past couple of years, high profile type people seem to have less and less rights , less privacy and protection. The onslaught of internet and tabloid sites mostly want only blood now. They have managed to make being a public figure a 24/7 public stoning and execution of various sorts. Some obviously more brutal than others.

It is so nice that ET does not engage in that and that they still respect people , entertainers and artists. That they see and respect their value in society and still give them some dignity and respect.

Unfortunately , I can't get behind the article that goes along with them though.

I gave a 3 hour heart felt interview and what became of it was Quotes that were usually about something else entirely in the conversation , grossly simplified and taken way out of context and sprinkled randomly and erroneously throughout the 2 pages.

If you want it for the photos then great but I am not behind the article at all.

"Hello All…

I know it's been a while. I'm sure you know, it's been a full full summer. Sorry we haven't spoken in so long. But, I'm sure you know… I hate putting the cart before the horse. Not my way to tempt fate. But I wanted to stop by, if only for a second, so you could be the first folks I tell…. HE'S HERE!

My dear friend, Jaymes, and I are so excited to announce the birth of Parker Foster Aiken (No hyphens. One first name. One middle name. One last name.)

Parker was born at a hospital in North Carolina just this morning at 8:08 AM. Wow… 8:08 ..08/08/08

Weighed in at 6 lbs 2 oz and measured 19 inches

The little man is healthy, happy, and as loud as his daddy. Mama Jaymes is doing quite well also.

The Aiken family, the Foster family, and the Parker family are all thrilled.

And the rumors keep swirling as to who will be the next contestants on Dancing With The Stars.

One person, though, that we hear will NOT be on the show is trainwreck Tara Reid.

According to reports, Reid has applied for the show on multiple occasions, yet has been rejected every time.

The reason? Apparently the former actress is not "family friendly."

That's an understatement!

Oh and Kim Kardashian who became famous after her sex-tape was released is family friendly enough to have her own reality show, and possibly be on DWTS right?

Poor Reid. There's just no love for the girl.

We think it's time she leaks her own sex tape! Then, maybe she'll she move up from Z-lister.

Reid's rep did confirm that she will not be appearing on the show but denied she ever applied.

As for other possible contestants, Dan Quayle is said to be in negotiations about competing next season.

Again, we thought this was Dancing with the Stars.

And, there's also reports that Kim Kardashian will be battling against her mom and partnered with father and son pro dancers, Mark and Corky Ballas.

That would explain why Kim's been hitting the gym so much lately.

Will U even be watching this next season of DWTS?

Bad news for Nikki "Hairspray" Blonsky and her family. Poppa Carl Blonsky has been ordered to stay behind bars in Turks and Caicos until a trial can begin on August 19th.

As y'all know, he's behind bars for beating on the mother of America's Next Top Model contestant, Bianca Golden, over a week ago.

The Blonsky lawyer argued that his client is a sewage plant worker with a clean criminal record who suffers from health problems: "He volunteers at his local church, coaches softball, baseball and soccer. He is taking Xanax, Crestor, and has nerve damage to his arm. He takes Percocet."

Oh, boo hoo.

However, the judge said that pops' bail was denied because he's a 'flight risk'.

The elder Blonsky should have known better!

Just wanted to check in and write to you a little bit… I hope everyone is having a great summer and makig the most of it! My Lifetime movie "True Confessions of a Hollywood Starlet" comes on tomarrow (Saturday) at 9 pm EST so be sure to check it out! Right now I'm in Atlanta, Georgia right now putting the finishing touches on my album. I am so happy with how its turning out, and so thrilled to have been able to work with the producers and collaborators that I have. Bottom line, just because Im not in the spotlight does not mean that ive retired (lol). Im so young, and music is my everything. I view my career as a marathon, not a sprint. And i try to do things based on the long term plan, not for financially motivated reasons. Have I made mistakes? Absolutely. Will I make more? Sure! But will I learn along the way, channel it into my music, chalk it up to experience, and come out stronger from it? You betta believe it !

I just want to thank you for sticking by me, waiting it out with me, and growing up with me. Its amazing that I put my first single out when I was 13 and now im just finishing up my third album and Im not even 18 yet! Ive seen so much in a short span of time, and learned to much. Its a blessing, and I promise to not forget it. I vow to put my all into everything that I do and to always represent what I believe in to the fullest. I cant wait for you to read/hear the lyrics to the h1 track "All I Want is Everything" because it really represents how I feel at this point in my life. Why so charity cheapy weepy, Mr. Project Runway?

A new report asserts that Harvey Weinstein may be the least charitable mogul in New York.

Documents show that after legal and accounting expenses factored in, he only gave $64,000 to charities last year.

$64K is a lot of money to us regular folks, but keep in mind that the Weinsteins made $80 million in 1993 when Miramax was sold to Disney and Harvey has a load of pricey property. He's also reportedly 'diversified' into cable channels, magazines, websites, bars, and fashion companies.

Maybe he donated anonymously?

We'll see! Harvey might give more generously in the coming year!

Remember, he's making tons of money off of Project Runway's move to Lifetime — early reports said his company will be getting $1 million per episode at the new network!

Woody Allen is keeping a promise he made over three years ago.

The 72 year-old director is set to produce an opera. Yes, an opera.

Why not???

Allen will be collaborating with The Exorcist director William Friedkin.

Apparently, Friedkin is a well-known opera lover who has directed productions in Tel Aviv, Turin, Florence, and Los Angeles.

As for Allen he says, "I made this promise to do it three years ago and I thought I'd be dead in three years and it's never gonna happen so I said, 'OK.' Then, I didn't die and the time came and so I started work on this opera on Tuesday."

At least he was honest about making the promise thinking he'd be dead by now.

Allen, Friedkin, and one more director are working on Gianni Schicchi, the third part of Giacomo Puccini's Il Trittico.

However, Allen doesn't seem too optimistic about this project.

He says, "I'll give it my best shot … but I really don't know what to expect. The opera is unlike the movies; they boo. I've been disliked but from a distance, but this is different."

Let's hope it doesn't suck too hard.

It's like a horrible dream came to life for the mayor of a small Maryland town and his family.

Last week, Cheye Calvo, mayor of Berwyn Heights, and his family found themselves unknowingly tangled in a marijuana smuggling ring — their home was stormed by plain clothed Prince George's County police who proceeded to shoot the family's beloved Labradors, Payton and Chase, dead.

No evidence of illegal activity was found at the mayor's home by police.

The mayor said the warrant that police say justifies their actions did not bear his name, did not authorize no-knock entry and figures it might have been politically motivated. He said he did not see the warrant until three days after the raid.

This week, Prince George's police arrested two men for orchestrating a plot to deliver marijuana to the addresses of unsuspecting recipients — among them, Calvo's wife, Trinity Tomsic.

Police Chief Melvin C. High nor Sheriff Michael A. Jackson have apologized to the mayor, his wife or her mother, Georgia Porter, for the raid that traumatized the family and killed their black Labrador retrievers.

WTF?!

The FBI is now investigating what looks to us like a total eff up by county officers.

So sad!!
